Annie Duke mightn’t have won her first World Series of Poker Bracelet until ‘04 but she is still one of the most powerful poker competitors at the ring matches at The Bellagio in Las Vegas. Annie’s long-overdue World Series of Poker bracelet came with a win at the "forgotten game" of Omaha hi lo.

While players from the "younger generation" of poker go crazy after a large win at the tournament, Annie goes home to be "mom" to her four children. She was born in New Hampshire and raised into a family of poker competitors. If you do not believe that, check out her brother, Howard Lederer, in action who educated her how to participate in the game.

However, Mrs. Duke is no small fry kind of girl and has won her share of difficult tables, which includes knocking out Howard a few times along the way. They are both competitors that have the ability to acquire the huge money and do it with a grin.

Annie Duke is a strong competitor at any poker table because she is a natural poker player, but it is a little more than just being great at the game. Mrs. Duke is extremely smart and graduated from Columbia University where she majored in English and Psychology.

When you sit across from her at the table you’ll see Annie is there to play the game and she begins "sizing" you up as soon as you join the poker table. If you can not play like a winner, then do not bother.

Winning over 3 million dollars in tournament competitions, Annie Duke branched out to become a adviser to both the UltimateBet poker room and actor Ben Affleck, who aspired to enhance his techniques and grow into a power at the tables.

You might just glimpse her at the Bellagio, you’ll notice Annie on television and you may even compete against her in a web poker match, but don’t expect a simple win. Unless you are a champion-in-the-making, you won’t defeat her. However, it’d be exciting to say you sat at the at the table with "The Duke".
