Poker has become globally celebrated lately, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game events. The games popularity, though, arcs back in reality a bit farther than its TV scores. Over the years several variations on the earliest poker game have been developed, including a few games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of the above-mentioned games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely resembling 21 than long-standing poker, in that the players wager against the house rather than each other. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little bluffing or other kinds of bamboozlement. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up just before the dealer broadcasting "No more wagers." At that moment, both you and the house and of course every one of the other players are given 5 cards. Once you have observed your hand and the dealer’s 1st card, you have to either make a call bet or bow out. The call bet’s amount is akin to your original bet, indicating that the stakes will have doubled. Giving Up means that your wager goes instantaneously to the bank. After the bet is the face off. If the dealer doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your bet is given back, including a sum on par with the ante. If the bank has a hand with ace/king or greater, you win if your hand beats the casino’s hand. The bank pays cash equal to your wager and fixed odds on your call bet. These expectations are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for two pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • 20-1 for a four of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
