Online poker has become globally celebrated lately, with televised championships and celebrity poker game shows. The games universal appeal, though, stretches back in fact a bit further than its TV ratings. Over the years several variations on the earliest poker game have been created, including a handful of games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely related to vingt-et-un than long-standing poker, in that the players wager against the casino instead of the other players. The winning hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is no conniving or different kinds of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up before the croupier broadcasting "No more bets." At that point, both you and the bank and of course all of the other gamblers acquire five cards each. After you have seen your hand and the casino’s 1st card, you need to either make a call wager or bow out. The call wager’s amount is equal to your original ante, meaning that the risks will have doubled. Bowing out means that your ante goes instantly to the house. After the bet is the face off. If the casino doesn’t have ace/king or better, your bet is given back, including a figure in accordance with the ante. If the house has a hand with ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand beats the casino’s hand. The house pays cash equal to your initial bet and fixed expectations on your call bet. These expectations are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for two pairs
  • three to one for 3 of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • twenty to one for a four of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
