Web poker has become world acclaimed lately, with televised events and celebrity poker game events. The games popularity, though, arcs back quite a bit farther than its TV ratings. Over the years several variations on the first poker game have been created, including a handful of games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with twenty-one than old guard poker, in that the players wager against the casino instead of each other. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little bluffing or different types of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up just before the dealer saying "No further bets." At that instance, both you and the casino and of course every one of the different players acquire 5 cards each. Once you have looked at your hand and the dealer’s initial card, you need to either make a call bet or surrender. The call wager’s amount is equal to your original ante, which means that the risks will have doubled. Surrendering means that your bet goes directly to the dealer. After the wager comes the face off. If the casino doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your wager is returned, including a sum on par with the initial wager. If the house does have ace/king or better, you win if your hand beats the dealer’s hand. The dealer pays chips equal to your original bet and controlled odds on your call bet. These expectations are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • two to one for two pairs
  • three to one for 3 of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • twenty to one for a four of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
